Patricia is a psycho-dynamically trained therapist with an analytic perspective. She uses a combination of approaches to help her clients reach their goals. She believes that intuitive listening and developing a good relationship between therapist and client is the best foundation for a successful outcome.
She enjoys working with individual adults (18-65+) and couples who are seeking to know more about themselves and to change ingrained, problematic patterns through ongoing psychotherapy. Her areas of clinical interest include but are not limited to: grief and bereavement, relationship issues, sexuality, family of origin issues, identity and existential issues, abuse and trauma. She has experience and skills in working with people who are gay or lesbian as well as those exploring their sexual orientation. She is also comfortable helping people from a wide range of faith traditions explore their spiritual lives.
Patricia has a great deal of experience in providing brief, solution focused therapy. She is well qualified to assist people with a variety of work place issues ranging from conflict management and resolution to career transition issues. She has a particular interest in working with clients in academia and the medical professions as well as multi-cultural, cross cultural and international populations.
