Esther brings a wealth of clinical expertise to her psychotherapy practice, enriched by her studies in nutrition, anthropology, spiritual formation, psychology, experience living abroad and advanced training in modern psychoanalysis for working with groups and individuals. Her sensitivity to the necessity of a holistic approach informs her work, addressing various triggers and stresses, cultural pressures, belief systems and unconscious motivations. This approach connects with crucial questions about identity, belonging, and meaning while recognizing the impact of past trauma and future concerns.
Esther draws from various treatment modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma treatment with EMDR and third wave Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), management of anger, stress, and emotional dysregulation using DBT skills, and attachment oriented psychodynamic psychotherapy. She works primarily with adults, both individually and in groups, and has a passion for assisting those undergoing life transitions and dealing with gender identity and sexual orientation issues. Esther is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to her clients and working together to find ways out of entrenched patterns of being that have become more a hindrance than a help.
